' just to let you know that just two days after my retirement from the military, the immediate past Governor of Ekiti State called me up and again saddled me with the responsibility of building the Ekiti Airport. I'm happy that we were able to deliver the airport in record time and the airport will become fully operational hopefully by April next year.' Ojuawo said

The candidate said his interest in representing the people of his constituency in Hose of Representatives is borne out of his continued interest in serving the people and humanity in general.
He therafter unveiled his manifesto and areas of focus when he becomes the people's representative come 2023.

These, according to the candidate include, education, with emphasis on leadership training.
Education makes it easy for people to be led, but they have to be imbued with the spirit of patriotism, this can only come when everyone has a sense of leadership in whatever space they find themselves. Unfortunately we do not offer leadership as a course or subject of study in our curriculum. My aim is to make sure that through legislation leadership is taught right from primary and secondary schools. It has to be in our curriculum of education and the benefits would only be imagined.'

Other areas of focus for AVM Ojuawo are Agriculture, youth empowerment and positioning of women to take their rightful place in the development of the country.
