Don't heat Up the polity unnecessarily, LPA warns Gbadebo Rhodes Vivour
The labour party candidate for the gubernatorial election in Lagos on the 18th of March 2023,Mr Gbadebo Rhodes Vivour has been warned not to unnecessarily heat up the polity in Lagos, but rather seek redress in the tribunal  if not satisfied with the outcome of the election

This warning was handed down to the candidate popularly known as GRV by the leadership of Lagos People's Assembly (LPA) in a press release signed by it's convener,Comrade Gbenga Soloki , describing his outburst since the declaration of the winner of the election is uncalled for, inciting and inimical to progress

The LPA called on well meaning Lagosians and peace loving Nigerians to call the LP candidate to order so as to prevent political crisis of monumental proportion in the state

The group posited that, the electoral law and the constitution recognize the right of candidates to disagree with outcome of elections, thus ,the provision for election Tribunal, where dissatisfied candidates can approach for remedy and stated that ,despite the availability of the tribunal,Mr Rhodes Vivour has continuously threaten violence in the state since the winner of the election was declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC)

According to LPA" We  want to as a matter of urgency warn the candidate of the Labour party in Lagos state to desist from heating up the polity by his threat of violence. Since the announcement of the last gubernatorial election, which he lost to the incumbent,Mr Rhodes Vivour has continue to threaten violence unnecessarily. There is a tribunal established for such dissatisfied candidates,so ,we advise him to avail himself the opportunity  of such  and take his grievances there. We appeal to reputable  Lagosians and our peace loving people of Nigeria to call the LP candidate to order in the spirit of peaceful co -essistence"

Finally, the group used the opportunity to also congratulate the incumbent Governor,Babajide Sanwoolu for his victory at the poll  as well as  assembly members elect across the state wishing them all successful tenure
