The executive chairman of Oshodi-Isolo local government, Otunba Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede has congratulated the duo of the candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Lagos state house of Assembly, Oshodi-Isolo constituency 1 & 2 at the state's assembly elections held on Saturday, 18 March, 2023.
The duo were declared winners haven certify all Electoral rules.
Otunba Stephen Olukayode Ogundipe representing Oshodi-Isolo Constituency 1 polled 16,444 to defeat his closest rival of Labour party who polled 6, 144 votes while Barr. Oladipupo Ajomale representing Oshodi-Isolo Constituency 2 polled 19, 581 to defeat his closest rival of Labour party who polled 17, 644.
The council chairman expressed his happiness and gratitude, both to God and to the people of Oshodi-Isolo local government, for the peaceful electoral process and for coming over en masse to cast their votes for the ruling APC.
Oloyede equally used the avenue to remind the newly elected state lawmakers of their electoral promises to the people and the need for them to be good ambassadors of Oshodi-Isolo local government by making people oriented laws that will further develop the local government.
He said; "After a hard electoral battle, I am pleased and delighted to congratulate my brothers, Otunba Stephen Olukayode Ogundipe and Barr. Oladipupo Ajomale representing Oshodi-Isolo Constituencies 1 and 2 at the Lagos State House of Assembly.
"Their electoral victories are hard earned and that is why their victories are sweet. Our people have decided and their decision is that they want our people and party at the Lagos State House of Assembly. I want to urge them to remember our people and the numerous promises they made to the during the campaign period."
