Children's Day: Oshodi-Isolo Council Chair Celebrates Children in Grand Style

In celebrating this year's children's day, the executive chairman of Oshodi-Isolo local government, Otunba Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede has celebrated the council's children in grand style while describing them as a strong link between the present and a glorious future. 

The celebration which was done inside the local government secretariat had pupils from different schools in attendance to display their matching prowess and also to merry together. 

Otunba Oloyede in his welcome address extend his warmest regards to principals, teachers, parents and of course the children.

Oloyede said the celebration is to create awareness about the rights and protection of the children. It is also an avenue to renew our commitment towards their welfare, education, healthcare, security and their rights. 

He said; "we are all here today to celebrate our children who are the building block of any nation. This year's celebration is a call to renew our commitment towards the welfare, education, healthcare, security and their rights. We must invest in them for us to have a strong and virile future."

The keynote address was delivered by the chairperson, Chief Mrs Fadekemi Oloyede, who urged the children to face their studies so as to justify the spendings of their parents on them. 

Highlights of the event was match pass, games and dancing competition. 

In company of the chairman was the Vice chairman of the council, Hon. Mrs Modupe Badmus-Aregbe, Leader of the House, Hon. Rasheed Obasa, honourable councillors representing Mafoluku and Ewu Wards, Council Manager, Alhaja Balogun,  Supervisors for Budget, WAPA, Chieftaincy and Agriculture. Also in attendance were Special Advisers on  Works, Media and information.

The vote of thanks was given by the Special Adviser on Education, Hon. Ajoke Onitolo
