Democracy Day: Oshodi-Isolo LG, Otunba Oloyede Congratulates Residents, Rededicates Self to Good Governance, Service to the People
 

The executive chairman of Oshodi-Isolo local government, Otunba Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede has joined other Nigerians, both home and abroad in  celebrating this year's Democracy Day.


Oloyede also congratulated Nigerians, especially residents of the council for witnessing yet another democracy day celebration.

The executive chairman of the council while celebrating Nigeria's democracy day rededicates himself to good governance and more service to the people.

The congratulatory note and commitment of the council helmsman to the people of the council was contained in a press release made available by his media office where he felicitated with the people of the local government on this year's Democracy Day and urged them to stay faithful to the lessons of selflessness, determination and dedication as exhibited by the heroes of June 12, 1993.

He further implored the people to remember the sacrifices of our past heroes, for our today, they gave up their peace, happiness and joy of yesterday for the peace of today.

Otunba Oloyede further averred that the memoir of this day should unite us, appreciate and embrace our diversity and spur us to collectively work for the success of our nationhood. 

Part of the release reads; "I want to use this occasion to felicitate with the people of Oshodi-Isolo local government, Lagosians and Nigerians, both home and abroad, on this year's Democracy Day celebration. This day is yet another reminder of where we are coming from as a nation, the struggles we had withered and the great potentials that lie ahead. 

It is another opportunity for me in particular, to rededicate myself to the noble task of serving our people and ensuring good governance. The memoir of this day should be a constant reminder to us all of where we are coming from and we shall continue to put the people first in all we do. Happy Democracy Day."
