Oshodi-Isolo Council Chair, Otunba Oloyede Gets Inducted into Chartered Institute of Local Government and Public Administration of Nigeria as a Fellow

The Chartered Institute of Local Governments and Public Administration of Nigeria (CILPAN), has inducted the executive chairman of Oshodi-Isolo local government, Otunba Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede as a fellow of the institute.

Registrar of the institute, Dr. Uche Okereke, who conducted the investiture for Otunba Oloyede, described him as youth centric leader who is passionate about their success.

Dr Okereke said at the short but glamorous induction ceremony, which was conducted at the chairman's office, that the investiture was the second in the history of the institute to be vested on a local government chairman across the nation.

According to the Registrar, the profile of Oshodi-Isolo local government chairman, his achievements thus far, his personal life and his unique leadership attributes of empowering the youths, particularly in politics, are the critical areas that were evaluated and tendered to the intitite's board for perusal and approval.

He further disclosed that the approval of the board came after various levels of screenings and evaluation, hence the induction.

The registrar urged the council boss to continue in his habit of empowering people, particularly the youths, because there is no limit to what they can achieve.

He said; "the institute has critically monitored your antecedents, achievements of your administration, your leadership acumen and is extremely pleased with your youth empowerment cum developmental strides".

Dr. Olabintan, a Senior Researcher from the institute, while reading the citation of the chairman appreciated all his philanthropic gestures even before becoming the chairman. He urged him to continue with such noble gesture.

Otunba Oloyede, while receiving the certificate of induction and the plaque, expressed his appreciation to the board of the institute for finding him worthy of being inducted. He noted that he is particularly happy because it shows that people and institutions outside the domain of Oshodi are monitoring what his administration is doing.

Oloyede dedicated the award to the good people of Oshodi and said it would be a morale booster to do even more.

He said; "I am happy about this investiture. I appreciate the board of the institute for finding me worthy and I equally appreciate our people for their support and trust in us. This is a further call to serve and we take it with every sense of responsibility. I shall not bring the name of your institute to a disrepute and I shall continue in the noble journey of serving our dear people."

In attendance were the vice chairman of the council, Hon Mrs Modupe Badmus-Aregbe; councillors led by the Leader of the House, Hon Rasheed Obasa; Secretary to the local government, Hon Smart Akinleye, Chief of Staff to the chairman, Hon Leke Banjoko; cabinet members of the local government and ranking members of the institute.
