The Scar of Our Democratic Struggles - The Testimony of Jimlas

The Scar of Our Democratic Struggles - The Testimony of Jimlas

Otunba Kayode Fasae, popularly called, Jimlas, was a high flying Banking Executive who was very successfull, with a career that was taking him to the top echelon of his organisation.
He was also a well known philanthropist, who cared about widows, orphans and the needy.
He decided to wade through the murky waters of politics, seeking for a wider platform to serve his people.
He sought to serve as Ekiti South Constituency 1, member of the House of Representative.
On June 1st,2018, standing behind Dr John Kayode Fayemi at a political event, a shot rang and that was all he heard, as the bullet nicked through his belly, close to his chest.
He went down, as blood spurted out. He thought he was going to die, but by God's grace, he survived, same for Senator Michael Opeyemi Bamidele, who also got hit!
They both survived.
Whilst MOB later went to the Senate, Jimlas served as DG, MEDA!

Today marks the  5th year anniversary the cold hand of death narrowly missed his soul at event.

Being alive is a testament to the raw power and undisputable mercy of almighty God.

He proudly bears the scar of the bullet today, participating in the  Ekiti project not as sacrificial lamb, but as a contributor to the growth and development our dear state.

He is  more renewed  in vigour to offer his  best in the service of Ekiti to fulfill God exceptional grace over his life.

The history of our democracy in Ekiti will never be complete, if we do not remember those who paid the supreme sacrifice with their lives, but also, thanking God for preserving those who are alive, with the scars as testimonials to the mercy of the almighty God..

Every 1st of June is memorable..

Happy New Month!!
